1st Annual ACE Brangus, Ultrablack & Santa Gertrudis Bull Sale

Welcome to the first annual Wiley Ranch Spring bull Sale. We want to recognize and thank our fellow Louisiana Brangus breeders that have consigned a superb set of Brangus bulls to this years’ sale. We also want to thank our American Cattle Enterprise cooperators that have partnered with us with their bulls in genetics, development, and marketing.

We are a family-run agriculture farming and ranching entity. We are so blessed to have three generations working for the family today. With that said, sustainability is very important to our program. For that reason, we breed and manage our cattle with that as our driving force. That means cows must work for us every day, just as we work for them. They must have and raise a calf every year. They must fit (body condition) and adapt to our harsh environment. They must wean at least 50% of their body weight. They must be market “acceptable.” They must last and stay sound. To do this, we know to sustain and succeed at all of these objectives, and in the state of Louisiana, we must use and grow breeds of cattle that have Bos Indictus influence.

We are very excited about both our breeds: Brangus and Santa Gertrudis. Our resent partnership with Quail Valley Farms, in the acquisition of both Salacoa Valley Farms and Blackwater Cattle Company cow herds, has secured us immediately as leaders for Brangus genetics. With that said, we are aggressively utilizing the same successful breeding and management philosophies of those respected programs, while enhancing and adding an even stronger embryo program turning generations.

Our Santa Gertrudis herd has been established for over a decade and we continue to use performance and enhanced DNA EPD’s to isolate and propagate the very best genetics for the industry.
